SEA-GLIMPSE PRIVACY STATEMENT

We, the owners of Sea-Glimpse holiday apartment Old Hunstanton, are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, following all legal requirements to do so.

This Privacy Policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer us to limit the use of that information and what procedures we have in place to ensure the security and privacy of that information.

This website and all our off-line activity is designed to comply with the following national and international legislation with regards to data protection and user privacy:

 

WHAT WE COLLECT

We may collect the following information:

  • Your name and title

  • Your contact information, including address, email address, phone numbers

  • Guest name and ages (if under 21)

  • Other information relevant to customer enquiries and/or bookings

We do not keep any financial details. Payments from guests are made via BACs payments or cheque, we do not accept credit cards, unless paid via Paypal.  Bank details are supplied to return your breakage deposit as provided by you and then deleted and not held, unless you request that we do.

WHY WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION

Data will be used for the following purposes:

  • To manage our contractual obligations to you when you book a holiday from us. This is the primary lawful basis upon which we hold personal information for the purposes of the GDPR.

  • To respond to your booking enquiry, answer any queries, send booking emails or letters, including confirmation, arrival, post-stay and refund information.

  • Where we use your information to contact you, we may use Mailchimp to manage those communications

  • To customise the website and our communication according to your interests and to improve our service to you.

  • As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our site safe and secure and to prevent or detect fraud

  • To take booking payments.

  • To contact you via email, telephone or post.

  • To send to you occasional updates, newsletters, late availability or special offers and communication regarding Sea-Glimpse and Sandy-Nook, plus news, blogs or associated relevant information.

 

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We will not divulge, sell, pass on, or otherwise disseminate any data you provide to us.

We do not make our customer list available to other companies. We do not give out any information about you, to anyone, except to complete your reservation transactions. The only instances where we may share your information with, and obtain information about you are from credit card companies, banks or fraud prevention agencies.
We will always seek to ensure that those third parties are compliant and will hold your information in accordance with data protection laws.

 

SALE OF BUSINESS

If Sea-Glimpse is sold, merges or integrates with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

 

DATA REMOVAL REQUEST

When you provide your details, in doing so you are agreeing to us using your information for the purposes above. If you change your mind you can easily ‘opt out’ by sending an email to mail@sea-glimpse.co.uk.

If you would like to know what information we hold about you, you can request access at any time by getting in touch.
We will store and use your personal information for as long as is necessary for the provision of our services detailed above. 

When we no longer need your personal information in connection with these services, we will then retain your personal information for a period seven years, which will reasonably allow us to comply with our regulatory obligations and to commence or defend legal claims. We may hold anonymised data (which is not treated as personal information under this privacy policy) for longer.

SECURITY

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We also keep your personal data on our Mailchimp database list which is protected. We also hold paper copies of all booking forms on file.  

 

YOUR RIGHTS

  • You have the right to ask us:

  • To confirm whether we hold any of your personal data

  • To send you a copy of any personal data that we hold about you

  • To correct any inaccuracies in your personal data and to add relevant details where the personal data we hold is incomplete

  • To delete (to the extent possible) any of your personal data, where we are required by law to do so

  • To stop processing your personal data, where we are required by law to do so

  • To let you have a portable copy of the personal data we hold about you, where we are required by law to do so

  • To stop processing any of your personal data that we process on the basis of our legitimate interests

  • To stop sending you marketing material.

  • Where we have reached a decision that affects you by processing your personal data automatically then you have the right to speak to someone to discuss that decision.
